Accem Scott, Clayton College of Natural Health Doctor of Naturopathy Graduate Featured in Asheville, North Carolina Newspaper
Accem Scott, a CCNH 1992 graduate, was recently featured in the Citizen Times, a local Asheville, North Carolina newspaper. Scott and his wife, Eleanor Hancock, bought a 6-acre property on a remote mountainside in Haywood County with plans to start a retreat center. That was before they discovered that their high-forest property was a treasure trove of ginseng, black cohosh, bloodroot and a host of other native herbs.
About a year ago, they started a new company, Circle of Light Botanicals, in the Small Business Incubator at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College’s Enka campus.
“We want to help create a brand for herbs from this region,” Scott said (more).
