Student featured on “Reality Sandwich”

Clayton College of Natural Health student Matthew Sluder recently appeared as a guest on a radio program called Reality Sandwich.  This particular show is focused on discussing a proposed plan to spray untested pesticides over urban populations through out the San Francisco Bay Area in an attempt to eradicate the light brown apple moth.  Sluder was asked to share a little bit about the emerging field of epigenetics and generally how chemicals interact with our genes. Clayton College of Natural Health Companion Animal Studies Student Authors Article for Animal Wellness Magazine’s Special Report Issue

Bloomer and her co-host, Jeannie Thomason, on Animal Talk Naturally and ATN Gone Wild radio shows co-authored an article last summer entitled “Be a Label Detective: How to Read and Understand Pet Food Labels” that was published in Animal Wellness Magazine’s Special Report Issue on the Pet Food Recalls of this past year. Animal Wellness Magazine asked us to write this article for this special report. Bloomer hopes that all of you who have pets will pick up a copy at your nearest Barnes & Nobel or Whole Foods or order a copy online.

Bloomer also has another article on aromatherapy for dogs coming out in Animal Wellness Magazine’s Holiday Issue, on newstands NOW! And yes dogs LOVE aromatherapy - so do horses!

Animal Wellness Magazine boasts 75,000 copies, published bi-monthly (over 150,000 readership) and distributed throughout North America in bookstores including Barnes & Noble, B.Dalton, Indigo & Chapters, health food stores including Whole Foods and quality pet stores, veterinary clinics, shelters, fitness and wellness centers, paid subscriptions, strategic partners, associations and much more. In 2008, look for Animal Wellness Magazine at major consumer events across North America.

Bloomer has also begun writing a column on natural dog health for the new magazine, Pet Home, published by Colleen Paige, the founder of National Dog Day and the Animal Miracle Foundation. The magazine is live online now and will go to print in 2008.
